BvR is the abbreviation for Bas van Rijsbergen which, you guessed it, is my name.

I was born in the Netherlands. From a very young age, no blank piece of paper was safe from my doodles.

Therefore it seemed a logical choice to enrol at the Amsterdam Art Academy,

which helped a lot in improving my doodles.

Immediately upon graduation, I landed a job as a property master. Working as a property master gave me a deeper passion for set design and set building. Another course and one international internship later, I landed a job at Studio 100 (Belgium) where I worked for over more then 10 years as a set builder and designer.

In 2019 I started working as a Senior Theme Designer at Europa Park (Germany).

In 2022, I was hired as a designer at the Efteling
